Dashing Through the Hope

Hope:

The anticipation of an event; of playing a show, seeing someone you know, a drink with the crew, another moment or two.

False Hope:

Created by lack of communication, by self-degradation, by drinking before five, by believing anyone cares you're alive.

Contempt:

Bred of false hope; pissed off at the world; this boy or that girl.

The message was clear, not that anything was said to make it so.

Hindsight:

Begins when contempt begins to end; when all the bridges have burned and a lesson has been learned,

although...

Reality:

Sets in when you think you finally have it all back together...

...and realize the lesson has only started again.
